Park Place Surroundings
With over 18 acres of land with gardens, woodland, meadows and walks at Park Place, there is certainly enough space: to breathe, relax, dream, meditate, exercise, pray, read, walk, paint, write, photograph, and much more. The 18th Century elegance of Park Place Manor House is complemented by its tranquil and beautiful grounds.
A Meditation Walk is an added attraction to those seeking silence and solitude.
A quiet enclosed garden dominated by a four hundred year old Lebanon Cedar, forms the prominent feature of Park Place Centre. The gardens are laid out with comfortable benches in order to find solitude, silence, beauty, a time to interact with nature, to listen to the song of birds, to unwind from the busy and stressful demands of daily life.
For those who wish to be more adventurous, we have designed a leaflet for "WALKS AND TRAILS" through the neighbouring meadows and the lovely Wickham Village. Please find a copy of it in the reception area.
Nestling in the heart of the picturesque Meon Valley countryside, yet just a stone's throw away from Park Place Pastoral Centre, is the medieval village of Wickham: a delightful place for visitors to the South of England.
The village has been a meeting point and centre of commerce since Roman times and whilst Wickham has evolved, its charm has remained constant. The handsome square is at the heart of this historic Hampshire village, always alive with residents and visitors, and a great place to stroll or stop to look at a variety of shops.
Whether it is the tranquillity of Park Place, the spiritual atmosphere, the friendly welcome, the fascinating walks, or the tempting cuisine of home-cooked meals that draws you to Park Place, one thing's for sure you're bound to return.
